About Daventry Karate
This web site is about the clubs of Sempai Mandie Price, the club is a part of the UKSKO
(United
Kingdom Seiki-Juku Karate Organisation).
Seiki Juku Karate-Do is a form of traditional Japanese Karate and in
English
means 'True Spirit School of Karate'.
Students are taught foremost the art of self defence. Plus within our
organisation students will gain increased coordination skills, a high
level of fitness, and an increase in personal confidence.
Sempai Mandie has been practicing Karate for over 20years and has been teaching Karate for 15 years, initially at the 'Busen' Martial Arts Centre, the Home and head quarters of the UKSKO. The club in Daventry opened its doors in 2006, since then the club has gained strength every year through the dedication of Sempai Mandie. Although the club is quite remote, we do have occasional visiting instructors, who always enjoy visiting the classes.
Seiki-Juku Karate is traditional style of karate and, unlike some
styles, honour, respect, and etiquette still make the foundations of our
school.
We believe that you must be mentally as well as physically trained, so
that you can make informed decisions about when to use your knowledge.
Plus, we have a unique training system, where as well as learning the
basic kicks and punches, we also combine other martial arts. This
includes throwing, breakfalls, and weapons training!
